About

When I chose my career path, I decided to apply my talents and time to the non-profit sector.  Since then I served a diverse group of local, national and global organizations, both large and small, as a communications and development professional.

IMG_7355With a personal mission to help organizations further their own missions, my focus is always to build lasting capacity no matter what the organization’s history, size or budget. Even if the job requires short-term interim leadership or the completion of a single project or event, I build my strategies around long-term objectives.

In my professional and volunteer roles, I successfully diversified revenue and expanded unrestricted funding. Strategic, resourceful, and creative, I think three-dimensionally and always focus on the greater good, not just looking for quick and easy short-term successes.

From there, I raised major and seven-figure gifts at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College, and Planned Parenthood. Next I served as Director of Development at EngenderHealth, a global organization dedicated to health and human rights. More recently, I led development efforts at organizations focused on scientific research, and consulted for a diverse group of organizations (including Population Council, Reproductive Health Access Project, HealthRight International, Iris House, Scenarios USA, Storefront Academy, Lab/Shul, Bedford Stuyvesant YMCA, Queens Community House, Green Leadership Trust). In addition, I held volunteer leadership roles at Brooklyn Prospect Charter School, Park Slope Jewish Center, and a local community coalition I co-founded, among others.

A graduate of Binghamton University, I also earned a Masters of Public Administration from Baruch College School of Public Affairs. I am a native Brooklynite and enjoy being part of the diverse and thriving Gowanus neighborhood.
